So this week in US History we’ve been focusing on the Kennedy Administration as well as the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. I was really interested in all we discussed and learned because I’ve had an interest in the Kennedy legacy since a very young age.
Jacqueline Lee Bouvier Kennedy Onassis has always been a huge style icon of mine and for as long as I can remember I have loved looking at old pictures of her. Her style was so classic and polished with just a bit of glamorous movie star thrown in. She was the definition of understated elegance and always looked very classy and put-together.
The accessories and articles of clothing which are most often associated with Jackie O. are her infamous pillbox hats, gloves, pearl necklaces, suits, and large and round sunglasses.
I recently put together an outfit to wear at my little sister’s first communion and it ended up looking somewhat Jackie Kennedy inspired. I didn’t even realize at first that the J. Crew cardigan was named “The Jackie,” what a coincidence!
