My weekend was quite busy, but it was certainly full of lots of holiday cheer! My family continued one of our favorite holiday traditions… we went to Christkindlmarket!
Our day started off with a production of “A Christmas Carol” that was wonderful. I also really loved the architecture of the theater we went to. The decor was all very lavish and glamorous with stunning chandeliers, painted ceilings, and a huge Christmas tree (which matched my outfit)! We went out to dinner after the show at one of our favorite restaurants to have a delicious and filling meal before venturing out into the cold at Daley Plaza.

Christkindlmarket!
Every year that we go to Christkindlmarket my two favorite stops are the Ornament House and the Sweet Shop, so naturally those took priority! Going through the Ornament Shop is always so much fun and I always fall in love with more than a few of the gorgeous ornaments. In the end, I picked out my favorite ornament which was an adorable bear with a big glittery blue bow. We each chose a favorite ornament and added them to our tree as soon as we got home. I’ll be sharing pictures of our newest ornaments as well as some of my other, older (but still favorite) ornaments in an upcoming post.

Naturally, the first thing I picked up as we entered the Sweet Shop was one of my all-time favorite sweet treats, marzipan! Ever since we were little, my cousins and I have always bought these marzipan potatoes, which are made of almond paste shaped and colored to look like itty-bitty potatoes, as well as Kinder Eggs when we go to Christkindlmarket. I managed to make it out of the shop with only those two things, but let me tell you, it wasn’t easy when everything looked so delicious!
