I was home sick yesterday when I heard the news of the horrific explosions at the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Immediately I was saddened, discouraged, angry, and upset. I questioned why someone would try to harm so many innocent people, including those who were trying to raise money for charity. I have classmates who were there to support family as well as many who were stuck here, anxiously awaiting news from their loved ones in the Boston area. Luckily, the people I’ve talked to so far are all safe and so are their family members, which I am extremely grateful for.

My thoughts and prayers are with the people of Boston and all those affected both directly and indirectly by this tragedy. Don’t just randomly hash-tag or re-tweet “#PrayForBoston,” actually do it. Think about the people affected and send them some love. We could use a lot more of it in the world we live in today.
