1. Pandora Radio
With my new job, I’m taking public transportation much more often and this has become a lifesaver. I can get a bunch of the music that I love streamed to my phone for free. In the process, I’m also getting introduced to new songs and artists since I’m not just listening to music that I already own. I’ve been using Pandora online for quite a while (honestly ages), but I’m so glad that I finally downloaded the app for my phone! I’ve especially been loving the Luke Bryan, Ron Pope, and Natasha Bedingfield radio stations recently.
2. Shopkik
Oh.My.Goodness. I LOVE this app! I’ve been using this like crazy ever since I discovered it through @lynbacca on Instagram. (She has gorgeous pictures by the way, be sure to check out her account!) She posted a picture one day of a YSL lipstick that she had purchased partially with points from Shopkik’s rewards program. As soon as I read through the app’s description I was sold. You get points for just walking into certain stores and even more points for scanning specific items. These points end up amounting to gift cards to a bunch of different places including Target, Sephora, and Starbucks. You don’t have to buy anything to get these points, so you’re basically being paid to window shop… I don’t know about you, but that sounds like a pretty good deal to me! If you want 50 free kicks to help get you started, then you can use this link right HERE.
3. MyFitnessPal
With it being summer and all, I’ve been hanging out around the house a lot more than I usually do. Therefore, I’m a lot more tempted to snack on some not so healthy foods. Rather than giving into that temptation, I’ve been on a bit of a health kick recently! I have been eating a lot healthier and I’m keeping track of what I eat, how much I exercise, and how much water I drink each day with the help of the MyFitnessPal. My friend Emily introduced me to this app when we were having lunch last week. When I got home I downloaded the app and I’ve been hooked ever since. Unlike so many other food diary apps, this one lets you scan barcodes to get nutritional info and you can also search pretty much anything to add it to your entry for the day. They even have a bunch of the modified drinks from Starbucks that aren’t necessarily on the menu! I definitely plan to keep using this app into next year to help me avoid the freshman fifteen and keep encouraging healthy eating habits.
What is your current favorite app?
