This weekend I went to visit my cousins to celebrate my uncle’s birthday! The house we had the party at had a pool, a heated pool to be specific. Now, you may ask, why on earth would you need a heated pool in July? The answer: because it has been cold!

The Chicago area is having quite a chilly spell for summer. Just a little while ago it was ungodly hot and I posted about the infused water I had been making to stay hydrated. Now, instead of infused water or iced coffee, I’ve been wanting warm lattes and hot chocolate. Oh how the tables have turned! To be completely honest, I don’t mind this weather, but it’s quite odd for the end of July. I’m looking forward to the warm, beachy weather coming back before I have to head to school and start first semester. For now I’m simply doing my best to enjoy this unexpected taste of fall in July.
