On Tuesday I attended a Jo Malone London party at Neiman Marcus to celebrate the release of Jo Malone’s newest fragrance, Wood Sage & Sea Salt. The whole event was themed around the English Coast, which was the inspiration behind the new scent. We were served fish and chips while one of the account executives, Polly, talked a bit about the creation and thought process for Wood Sage and Sea Salt. We tested out the new cologne and then created our favorite fragrance combinations. Jo Malone perfumes are known for being easy to layer. In fact, they strongly encourage finding a unique scent combo that fits your personality! The scents are fantastic, not overpowering, and they last for quite a long time.

Although I didn’t end up picking up the new scent, I absolutely fell in love with a different combination. I left the event with peony & blush suede and earl grey & cucumber. I’ve discovered that I like putting the peony on first and then topping it off with the earl grey to lighten the floral notes just a bit. I used that combo yesterday morning before heading to breakfast and I could still smell the scent after getting back from babysitting later that evening. I think that I might have even found a new favorite fragrance… time will tell!
