Our third full day in NYC was unfortunately Emily’s last day with us before she headed back to school, but it was a super fun day! We started off the morning with a short cab ride to Norma’s at Le Parker Meridian for brunch.

The hotel lobby where we waited for our reservation was absolutely gorgeous and it reminded me of a museum! The stone work, vaulted ceilings, massive skylight, and metalwork were all beautiful. The time passed so quickly and before we knew it, it was time for brunch! I got the “Bing Popping Waffles” and they were delicious.

We did a bit of walking after brunch and checked out some of stores including Louis Vuitton, Polo RL, Bendel’s, FAO Schwartz, and the Kate Spade Flagship on Madison Avenue!

When we were on Madison I remembered that there was a Ladurée shop nearby! Ladurée macarons are world famous and there are only a few locations, with the majority of them being in Europe, so we had to take the opportunity to try them for ourselves. I’d had Ladurée macarons once before in high school when a friend who went to France brought some back for me, but this was my first fresh experience where I got to pick the flavors. We tried the coconut, rose, raspberry, pistachio, salted caramel, and coffee. They were all amazing, but the rose was definitely my favorite!
After Ladurée, we took a longer walk through Central Park and took some outfit of the day pictures on the famous Bow Bridge and around the park. We visited a very special spot from Gossip Girl and I might have definitely had a bit of a fangirl moment. All I can say is, season six finale!!! Oh.My.Goodness. If you’re a Gossip Girl fan like me, it might look familiar. {SPOILER here}

That evening, Emily and I stuck around the hotel so she could study for her midterm the next day. Also, since we were being a little lazy, we got sushi delivered to the hotel from Sushi Yasaka. I can genuinely say that it was some of the best sushi I’ve had in my life; so good!
