More than anything, this year has reminded me to take every day as it comes and to find the silver lining in any stormy cloud, because even if you can’t see it at first glance,
it is there!
Looking back, this year was amazing, and if someone asked me if it was a good or bad year, I’d certainly say it was a good one! I’m somewhat in disbelief that I’m halfway done with college now. This time has flown by and I’m already ready to hold onto the remaining two years for dear life before finding myself thrust in the “real world” and needing to be in full-on adult mode.
Junior year will be quite an adventure and I’ll be without some of the people I’ve spent a good portion of my college experience with thus far. Many of my close friends will be going abroad either first or second semester to travel to different parts of the world and some will even be gone for a full year! I’ll miss them, but I’m so excited for each and every one of them and all the fun times that studying abroad will bring them! I’m also really looking forward to getting to see all the amazing pictures they take and hear the fun stories they have to share once they return.

While watching the sun rise last Sunday at around 5:45am I saw the end of sophomore year as well as the beginning of summer. I couldn’t help but sit there and smile as the sun peeked over the horizon! In that moment I knew, more than ever, that I’m ready for whatever life has in store and I’ll be waiting with open arms and an open heart.
