It’s finally feeling like spring in Chicago! It seems like it’s been forever since I’ve been able to do a photo shoot outside without my fingers getting a bit numb, so these higher temperatures are a very welcome change for me. The whole process of shooting in almost freezing (and occasionally below freezing) temperatures isn’t quite as cheery as the photos typically end up looking. Just ask my friend Alex! She’s seen me on many a freezing shoot… it’s actually pretty funny to watch.
We shot this look downtown on one of the warmest days before break, and right after I had gone on a mini shopping binge at Forever 21… whoops. BUT I didn’t break the bank and I may have found one of my new favorite sundresses, linked further on in the post.
What I Wore
Forever 21 Sweater (Here’s a similarly styled top and it’s on sale!) – BP. Booties – J.Crew Jeans and Bracelet – Kendra Scott Earrings & Necklaces (statement & dainty) – Heirloom Signet Ring
I was able to snag this peacock-toned sweater that I’m wearing as well as four other items AND I got out of there spending under $40! (Great finds for my college student budget.) One of the other items I picked up was this dress, which I’m super excited to wear in the coming spring and summer months! I also grabbed this top, which was on sale at the store I went to.
It can be pure chaos at times, but occasionally, I really love Forever 21!
