It’s officially one of my favorite times of the year to shop, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale starts in less than a week!!! For as long as I can remember, my mom and I would shop for my new school clothes and shoes during the sale. As I’ve grown older, I’ve continued to check out the sale every year because it’s one of the best and biggest sales around! Early Access begins the 14th and the sale opens to the public on the 22nd. Do you want to shop Early Access? Today, I’m telling you how as well as giving you a few tips and tricks for if you plan on shopping the sale this year!
Now, for those of you who aren’t familiar with the Anniversary Sale, the #NSale (as it’s referred to on social media) is a wonderful time of year when Nordstrom discounts their brand new Fall/Winter products before they reach the sales floor at their regular prices. As you know, most sales are on “old” products, so the Anniversary Sale is very much the opposite and that’s part of what makes it so great! #NSale items will include everything from clothes to jewelry to beauty to handbags and more from both designer and in-store brands. Items go back to their regular prices on August 8th, so if you want something from the sale, now’s the time to get it!
As I mentioned, Early Access is your first chance to shop the sale and that starts on the 14th and goes until the 21st. After that, it’s a free for all. To gain Early Access you just have to sign up for a Nordstrom card and then that card is your ticket to the hottest items of the sale that will commonly sell out before it’s open to the public. If you do plan to shop the sale during public access, be aware that a lot of sizes and colors in the popular items will sell out during pre-sale. This includes products like Tory Burch riding boots, Rebecca Minkoff bags, Jo Malone sets, etc. That being said, I would strongly suggest signing up for a card so you get first pick on everything you want!
Tips & Tricks
– Know your sizes and don’t be afraid to order more than one size. If there are specific brands you’re interested in, know what size you are so you can add to your cart with confidence. If you think you’re in between sizes, just order both and then return the one that doesn’t fit! Nordstrom has free shipping and free returns which makes that 10x easier than at most stores.
– Have a “short list” for while you’re shopping the sale. Know which brands, colors, and specific items you’re looking for. Make a list of these things as well as writing down anything that you know you need for the coming season. This will make shopping smoother and you won’t end up forgetting anything you really wanted to check out!
– Take a look at the Anniversary Sale catalog that Nordstrom released! You can get a feel for what sort of items will be available and write down some specific must-haves for yourself before Early Access even starts!
