Remember how just a few days ago it felt like Spring in Chicago? Well… It started snowing late last night and there are still flurries falling outside of my window right now. Gotta love Chicago weather, right?
What I Wore
Land’ End Parka – Circle Scarf (similar) – Periwinkle Sweater (No longer available, but here’s a similar knit style and similar color.) – Kendra Scott Earrings – Kendra Scott Necklace (Similar style.) – Gold Signet Ring – J.Crew Jeans – Frye Boots (On sale right now!)
On a different chilly day, I was at Navy Pier shooting these photos. It was SO cold, but the light reflecting off of the water was absolutely gorgeous. There’s something so deceiving about Chicago’s winter sunlight. You can look outside and see everything coated in a golden halo of light, that looks like it would be incredibly warm. However, as soon as you step outside the bitter winds hit you and the “spell” is broken.
Regardless, I still love winter sunlight. It’s a wonderful reminder of the warmer weather to come. Soon we’ll actually be able to walk around outside coats-less without freezing like I did on this day!
