It’s summertime, so that means sandals and fun colors of nail polish!
When I was little, painting my nails was always a huge deal because I’d get to dive into the massive plastic bin of nail polish that my mom had collected over the years. It was something that was saved for special occasions or as a special treat after various accomplishments.
When it was time to paint my nails, I’d take each of the bottles out one by one and arrange them by color, size, brand, and anything else I could think of before finally picking one and sitting down with my mom for some fun mother-daughter pampering.
Flash forward to present-day. With what I do for work, I constantly have my nails painted and I’ve put together quite the collection of polishes myself. (One that honestly rivals my mother’s.) Today I’m sharing some of my personal favorite nail polish brands and nail colors for the warmer months!
OPI “Tutti Frutti Tonga” – This was a color I fell in love with during high school. It’s a sheer peachy pink with a great sheen to it. It’s easy to apply and doesn’t show signs of wear as easily.
Kendra Scott “Dusty Rose Quartz” – I’ve recently become a big fan of the Kendra Scott nail lacquers. They only launched a year ago, but from the ones I’ve used I’d say that they are tied now for my favorite nail polish brand, right next to Essie. This color is exactly as it sounds, a dusty pink, which makes a great neutral!
Dior “Tra-La-La” – First off, I love the name of this polish! It’s just so fun! This color is more of a sheer pale pink that is great for throwing on when you don’t have a ton of time to pay close attention to details, but you still want a layer of polish on your nails.
Essie “Bikini So Teeny” – From looking at the color in the bottle, initially I wasn’t a fan of this color at all. However, it seriously grew on me over time! It’s a fun, punchy purple and I love it on toes especially.
Kendra Scott “White Pearl” – This is such a pretty, milky and metallic white tone! It’s the perfect in-between color and goes with both warm and cool tones.
Essie “Mint Candy Apple” – This is a cult favorite for sure and as soon as I tried it out I was hooked as well! This is my second bottle of the color, so that tells you how much I like it…
Essie “Off the Shoulder” – This polish is from an older collection, so it may be a bit harder to find. However, I absolutely love this blue-toned hot pink shade! The name is also adorable and it’s the perfect bright pink for warmer months.
Dior “Front Row” – This vibrant deep magenta color has fun blue metallic undertones that pop out when the light hits it at certain angles. It’s hard to see in this photo, but if you look online it’s a bit easier to see in the stock photo.
OPI “Pink-ing of You” – This simple milky pink is one of my personal favorites because it’s such a light color, but is still really opaque!
Butter London “The Full Monty” – I received this color as a part of a holiday set and it’s a great muted metallic for a toned down but still shiny look.
Kendra Scott “Iridescent Peach” – This is another sheer fave! The peachy tones mixed with a bit of sparkle make this color great for wearing on its own or layering on top of another color as a top coat!
Essie “Tea and Crumpets” – This color is a year-round go to for me! My mom actually initially bought this for herself and I absconded with it! It’s a nice mix between a neutral and a metallic. It also goes on super easily which is a major plus.
