I don’t know about you guys, but around the holidays my calendar is always jam packed with events and formal affairs with family, friends, coworkers, etc. and I’m constantly looking for new ways to do my hair or upgrade my makeup for these! For today’s post, I got to partner with one of my favorite local salons, Goldplaited, to bring you three fun holiday looks that are sure to stop the show at any upcoming events you might have! As someone who works a job during the day on top of having a blog, I end up going to a lot of events straight from work. With that in mind, all of these hairstyles could be worn during the day and then updated for evening by throwing on some lipstick and freshening up your makeup!
Look 1: Half-Up Half-Down Braid Crown
Braid crowns are still all the rage and they add an extra level of sophistication and sweetness to any look! This hairstyle and makeup were by far my favorite out of all the looks we put together. I actually wore this hairstyle to an event later in the evening and I got so many compliments on it! I absolutely love how the hair knots in the back and has curls not only underneath it, but also flowing through the center of the braid. This look would be perfect for a holiday party or dinner with your family on Christmas Eve or Christmas day!

Look 2: Side Braid with Volume
This hairstyle was the perfect mix of festive with just a hint of “badass.” I’m in love with how this braid turned out and I think that this hairstyle could be worn with so many different outfits! You could pair it with jeans and a white tee, or you could throw on a long formal dress and go walk the red carpet! I could totally see myself wearing this braid during the day at work and then switching my shirt to something more fun like this lace one for an evening out on the town with friends!

Look 3: Loose Curls with a Wine-Toned Lip
This look was on the simpler side when it came to the hair, but this purple-toned lip packed a punch! I’m not typically one to wear dark colors on my lips since I’m on the fairer side, skin tone wise, but it was fun to switch things up and rock a darker lip with all the metallic tones for this look! This hair could also be worn for numerous occasions and with a ton of different looks, but I’d definitely save the lip for after the sun sets!

I hope you all enjoyed these looks as much as we enjoyed putting them together! As a blogger, I love getting to work with local businesses and the squad over at Goldplaited is absolutely fantastic. They also did my hair and makeup for my senior formal last spring and every experience I’ve had with them has been fantastic. I’d highly recommend checking them out if you’re in the Chicagoland area!
