As someone who’s been blogging for over six years, I can tell you that no matter what anyone says, blogging isn’t always as glamorous as it comes across on Instagram and in published posts.
Every time I take pictures for anything I end up getting some pretty silly shots or dealing with some sort of weird circumstances. In honor of April Fool’s Day, I’m happy to bring you my second annual edition of Bowtiful Life Blogger Bloopers. Hopefully you end up with a smile on your face after getting to the end of this post. Enjoy!
Shooting a dress with fun sleeves always results in a few silly shots like this one.

Clearly something or someone was making me pretty uncomfortable when my friend Margot took this picture. Also, peep the wedding photo shoot happening in the background at the same time!
Dodging bugs and bees while taking graduation pictures with Ola. I successfully got through the shoot without getting stung at all, but we had a few close calls!

Knowing my friends, someone had probably just made some sort of silly or sarcastic comment when we were snapping pictures and apparently this was my reaction!

Sometimes you really just need a mid-shoot dance break, especially if you’re freezing and need to move around to warm up.
This was the same day and like I said, it was SO chilly. I was shooting with my friends Caitlin and Ashlee, and yep, that’s my coat!

Hamming it up last Easter while shooting with my Mom.

This was mid-decision on if I was going to sit down on the snow and ice to try to get a cute “sitting” picture at Lake Louise… I did it! But my butt was freezing for the next hour… #DoItForTheGram

I have no idea what I was saying here… but that’s quite a face.

That awkward moment when your purse decides to start floating mid-air / you drop it in front of a crowd of people… whoops.

Holding on to the side of the Wrigley Building for dear life as we tried to get the “perfect” shoe shot. We DID get the shot and it ended up in the blog post, but I almost fell off of this little ledge at least four times in the process.

Such a flattering angle. That double chin though.

Gotta love it when the camera decides to focus on the background instead of you… but this actually turned out pretty cool if I do say so myself. Lake Louise is SO pretty.

Probably giving some very serious photo direction to my mom while we were snapping pictures. 😉

Running away from my responsibilities or trying not to fall on slippery rocks? You decide.
{full post: Bean Boots & Flannel at Lake Minnewanka}
Holding up the bottom half of my parka so we could get a better picture of my shoes and the bottom of my dress without me freezing to death. Gotta love shooting in 20 degree weather!

Just a classic “me” face captured between shots.

Obviously, I had to save the best for last.
