My birthday was earlier this week and as a part of this year’s bday celebrations I got to go to BLVD in the West Loop (shown below) for dinner! BLVD has this swanky “Old Hollywood” vibe to it, so I knew that I wanted to wear a fun dress for dinner! I fell in love with this Show Me Your Mumu dress and I knew that I’d found my birthday outfit. I paired it with this denim jacket from Madewell when I actually went out to dinner and the look resulted the perfect mix of soft and structured.

Everything that we ate at BLVD was delicious and the location is just too gorgeous for words! BLVD does “shared” plates in general, so we got the Brandade Croquettes, Caesar Salad, and Cacio e Pepe for the main part of our meal. I was worried about still being hungry at the end of the meal, but that Cacio e Pepe was the most incredible dish I’ve had in a long time, and it was so rich so it filled me right up!
If you haven’t checked out BLVD yet, it’s definitely worth the trip! (Girls, if you go to dinner there, check out the bathrooms! They have the prettiest powder room set-up with a chandelier, velvet couch, and vanities in every corner. I shared a video of it on my Instagram story and it’s saved under my “Chicago” highlights!)
I knew that it would be a bit dark at BLVD, but I loved this outfit so much so I wanted to get some fun pictures of it! Hannah and I snapped these photos at The Conrad Chicago during a recent shoot! The Conrad team was so sweet and they let us use their gorgeous lobby. I’m so obsessed with their grand staircase and the aerial shots that we got ended up reminding me of Cinderella running away from the ball. (Can you say Disney child?)
