It’s that time of year again, Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2019 is here! I shop this sale every year and for the most part, this year’s offerings did not disappoint. This blog post is going to your one-stop shop for all of my favorites and picks from this year’s sale! I decided to put together just one, collective NSale blog post this time around on Bowtiful Life! I also wanted to make sure I didn’t bombard you with NSale content if you aren’t shopping. I’ve noticed that especially in recent years this sale sort of takes over on Instagram and social media… to the point where I event get a bit tired of it as a blogger! If you ARE shopping the sale this year this year, this is my one and only blog post about the NSale, so everything is in one place!
In addition to my in-store try-on, I also rounded up my favorite pieces and deals from various categories!
This year I got to go shop in-store on the 9th with my aunt since she’s an Icon member. It was great to check out the sale so soon after everything had been put out. I also got some great pieces! This year I tried on SO many things and I’m sharing a bunch of them below. We’re talking about about both the good and bad + what I bought from the sale.
– What I Tried On (& Actually Bought) from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2019 –
Champion Cropped Logo Tee $25.90 – Wearing size Small. (Almost purchased, but didn’t.) This one is on my wish list, so I may still end up getting it!) I loved this tee, but for an NSale item I didn’t really want to drop $25 on a cropped tee that I wouldn’t wear regularly. It’s SUPER cute though and the crop is just the right length… I’m still super tempted to purchase this one
Leith Side-Draped Cami $29.90 – Wearing size S/M. I liked this top a lot but the straps were a bit too long for my taste. They didn’t allow for the option to adjust them either, so I ultimately decided to skip this one.
BP. Lace Trim Satin Cami $25.90 – Wearing size Small. (Purchased in the polka dot pattern.) This top was crazy popular last year and I wasn’t able to get my hands on one. That being said, this year, I made a b-line to these when I was shopping in-store. I tried on both the polka dot and leopard print. This cami fits true to size, the lace isn’t itchy. The straps are also adjustable which is always a must in my opinion.
Topshop Sweaters (Pink & Striped) $44.90 – Wearing size 4-6. There was a striped Topshop sweater last year that sold out super quickly. I can definitely see this striped sweater doing the same thing this year. I love the colors on this, I just wish there was more pink, beyond at the top of the shoulders. This sweater was really comfy and not itchy at all. I personally preferred the striped option vs. the solid version. However, the stripes didn’t hit quite right on me, so I left this sweater behind.
Leith Green Rib Wrap Sweater $31.90 – Wearing size Small. Loved the color and the fabric, but did not love the fit. The wrap aspect of this top in the chest did not fit me right at all. This may work better for women with a smaller bust. Personally, I found that the wrap portion laid weird on me and caused some odd bunching.
Topshop Kota Faux Leather Moto Jacket $62.90 – (Purchased) Wearing size 4. Loved this jacket, but the size I tried on wasn’t right for me. I definitely should’ve grabbed a 6 to allow for more space in the shoulders! I vary between a 4 & 6 when it comes to tops, but with jackets I usually lean toward a 6 to allow for layering. Plus, with Topshop, I tend to size up given their pieces run a bit smaller. The hardware on this jacket wasn’t over the top, which I liked a lot! I ended up going back for this one and getting a UK size 8 so I can wear sweaters under it once it gets chillier!
STS Blue “Ellie” Ripped High-Waisted Skinny Jeans $38.90 – Wearing size 28 (usual size) but would recommend sizing up due to tightness in the knees. I really liked the style and wash of these jeans! I’m not usually a fan of distressed denim, but I liked the amount on this pair. Tbh my knees felt “fat” coming through at the rips in the knee, but I’m also not used to wearing denim with ripped knees. (So take that with a grain of salt.) The waist in my normal size fit great on me, so keep that in mind if you choose to size up to allow for more room in the legs.
Thread & Supply Wubby Fleece Pullover $49.90 – Wearing size Medium. (Purchased for me by my aunt, but I’m not getting it until Christmas.) With this comfy and cozy pullover, I sized up for comfort. This fleece is soooooo soft and I can’t wait to pair it with leggings and skinny jeans when the colder months roll around. Definitely one of my favorite things in the sale this year and it comes in multiple colors!
BLANKNYC Faux Snakeskin Skirt $64.90 – Wearing size 28. This skirt fit really well, but I wasn’t a huge fan of the zipper down the front. I liked the tones within the pattern and the material didn’t look or feel cheap
BP. Square Neck Bodysuit $15.90 – Wearing a medium. This bodysuit is one of my favorite things that I got from the sale this year! I love the neckline and that the back isn’t a super low scoop. Definitely size up on this one due to the fit of the bottom. The leg-holes on the sides are a bit higher than your usual bodysuit. 100% would recommend this piece from this year’s sale!
BLANKNYC Teddy Coat in Black $64.90 – Tried on a size small. I’ve been wanting to get a black teddy coat for about two years now and I’d hoped that this one would fit the bill. However, it didn’t quite hit the mark for me and I’d definitely recommend sizing up! On me, a small was very short in the sleeves. There is no sort of closure at the front of the coat. The lack of any sort of closure was honestly the dealbreaker for me! I would want a bit more fabric on the front so that the edges would at least lay “closed” for during the colder months, so size up if you’re considering this coat!
BLANKNYC Suede Miniskirt $64.90 – Wearing size 27. (Purchased this in the “coffee bean” color.) I loveeee this skirt! It’s super similar to a style that was in last year’s sale and sold out before I could snag one. Size-wise, I did size down because the waist was a touch larger on me than usual. I wanted a defined waist for this style of skirt. I can’t wait to wear this with the bodysuit I paired it with or shorter sweaters as fall rolls around.
BP. Long Leopard Cardigan $45.90 – I didn’t get a photo in this one, but I tried on a size small in-store. For this sweater I liked length and that it was a little oversized. The fabric was so soft, but it looked like a knit that would get fuzzy in spots from friction and wear over time. So, I decided to pass on this one even though it’s super cute!
