I’m a big wine girl and (regardless of the season) I absolutely love a good glass of rosé! That said, summertime is when rosé really gets its spotlight moment and is top of mind when it comes to wine. This summer, I’ve tried out some new-to-me bottles as well as retuning to some past favorites. In today’s bowtiful bartender post, I’ll be sharing a few of my favorite, affordable rosé picks – most of which can be found at Trader Joe’s.
1. Céline Côtes de Provence Rosé 2022
This Céline rosé is one that has been on repeat for me this summer for a few reasons. First, I love the blue and white floral print label. My friends would say that it’s very “on brand” for me – take one look at my home decor or Pinterest and you’ll know exactly what they mean. Second, the taste! This rosé has a sweet + citrusy vibe, grapefruit notes, and a light acidity which is very refreshing. This rosé is sold at Trader Joe’s, which is where I typically go when picking up wine for more casual occasions.
2. Emma Reichart Pinot Noir Rosé 2021
The Emma rosé has probably been my most purchased bottle this summer. It’s incredibly affordable at only $5, but you wouldn’t know from the taste! Flavors include strawberry, watermelon, and other red fruity notes. This is definitely a rosé that’s easy to drink and is great for sipping on vacation during the daytime. I wouldn’t necessarily suggest this bottle as a gift since the label isn’t anything special (plus it’s super inexpensive), but it’s definitely one of my current favorites.
3. Château d’Esclans The Beach by Whispering Angel Rosé 2022
Formerly known as The Palm, The Beach has become synonymous for me with trips to the lake. Cal and I usually run by Binny’s before we head up to the lake house in Michigan and I always snag at least one bottle to bring with us! Out of the rosés that I’m highlighting in this post, this one is the most expensive of all four at around $18 a bottle, but it’s so worth it! I love the aesthetic of the branding as well as the wine itself. The Beach has a smooth balance to it and features hints of lime, melon, and peach. I would absolutely recommend bringing a bottle of this as a gift for anyone who loves rosé and/or has a preppy aesthetic.
4. Ile de Conas Le Rosé 2022
This wine is one that I first came across with two years ago in 2021 and ended up drinking on the 4th of July. The gorgeous bottle caught my eye and I ended up enjoying it while sitting on my rooftop and watching fireworks over the Chicago skyline. That core memory gave this wine a very special spot in my heart and I’ve turned lots of friends on to it since then. This is a fruit-forward rosé with a strong raspberry flavor and it costs around $8 at Trader Joe’s. I would 10/10 suggest bringing this with you to any casual get-togethers!
I hope you enjoyed this little rosé roundup! I’d love to hear what you think if you end up trying any of these rosés or have tried them before. Cheers!
