Happy Friday, friends! The past month or so has been fun-filled and a bit chaotic. Lots of travel, events, and special moments with friends and family. That said, I haven’t done a Friday Five in quite a while! Let’s catch up, shall we?
1. To Kill a Mockingbird with Broadway in Chicago
On Tuesday, I attended the first Chicago night of the Broadway production of “To Kill a Mockingbird” thanks to the Broadway in Chicago team! The show was truly phenomenal and the whole cast was SO talented! It was particularly fun to watch Atticus (played by Richard Thomas), Calpurnia (played by Jacqueline Williams), and Tom Robinson (played by Yaegel T. Welch). We were seated in the fourth row so it was a very immersive experience and it was honestly one of my favorite theatrical experiences that I’ve ever had! The show was also particularly special because my late godfather, Paul, was an English teacher and “To Kill a Mockingbird” was one of his favorite books! I can distinctly remember talking about the various characters with him when we read the book in school. I also have a fond memory of sitting with my friend/his daughter, Marina, in their living room and eating homemade kettle corn while watching the move adaptation once we’d finished reading the book.
2. Currently Loving: Being Frenshe Soothing and Hydrating Body Serum Stick
I got myself a bit burnt on a recent trip to the lake and this soothing and hydrating body serum stick from Being Frenshe came in clutch. It’s scented Cashmere Vanilla and has been great for sunburns and muscle soreness. I had heard that it’s a hard product to get a hold of, so I ordered one ASAP when I saw it was in stock again and I understand the hype now!
3. Real Housewives
I never thought I’d find myself saying this, but I started watching Real Housewives in the last few weeks as a background noise type of show and I’ve really enjoyed the Salt Lake City series as well as the latest New York season with Jenna Lyons! I just started the Miami series as well. Do you have a favorite city for Housewives if you watch?
4. Go-To Amazon Skort
I ordered this skort in the “snow blue” color a few weeks ago and immediately fell in love with it! I now own it in black as well and will probably get it in white too at some point. The skirt portion of it is super flattering thanks to the flat front and pleated back. The attached shorts are also made of a mesh-like material, so they’re extra comfy and breathable (plus they don’t roll).
5. A Quote I’m Loving
I hope that you all have an absolutely wonderful weekend!
