I hope that you’re all having an absolutely wonderful week! I’m thrilled to share how we “proposed” to our bridal party with all of you today.
A few months after Cal & I got engaged, we asked some of our favorite people to be in our bridal party! We both decided to have mixed-gender parties, so the gifts we went with were items that could work for anyone, regardless of gender. We also wanted to make sure they would actually be useful! I’m SO happy with how they all turned out and our bridal party seemed to be pretty happy with the items we selected too!
– Bride’s Party –
For my bridal party “proposal” I gifted each member of my squad a monogrammed makeup or toiletry bag, a personalized card that I designed on Canva, and a bottle of Cava that I decorated. I had the BEST time making these bottles and had to make one for myself as soon as I saw how they were turning out… Because I was obsessed! (Tutorial coming soon!) These bottles were designed to be unique and one-of-a-kind, which made the design process even more fun since I had the specific, special person in mind while I was DIY-ing.
Connor is my one “bridesman” so I got him this dopp bag from Etsy. I loved that it still coordinated well with the waffle-knit makeup bags that I got for all of my girls!
For my matron & maid of honor, I got them an additional little gift as part of the proposal. I got my matron of honor, Margot, one of the insulated Rifle Paper wine glasses. For my sister & maid of honor, Jessa, I got her a pair of pearl studs since we’re both Chi Omegas – or “sisters x2” as she likes to say.
I am SO happy with how the makeup bags & dopp kit turned out! The two letter monogram also made it easier to surprise people since I didn’t have to ask anyone to confirm their middle name. For Jessa, we still went with a three initial monogram since she and I have a hyphenated last name. I also snuck a makeup bag into the order that features my soon-to-be initials!
– Groom’s Party –
Cal gifted each member of his crew a pair of fun critter socks from J.Crew Factory, a monogrammed Corkcicle coozie, & a personalized card. (Again, designed by yours truly on Canva!) I also discovered that some of his party also brought their coozies along with them when Cal did his bachelor party this summer. We love to see a practical gift in action!
The J.Crew Factory socks were so cute! I always love the various designs they come out with for these.
For personalizing the coozies, we ordered some monogram stickers from Etsy in the same font as the one that I used for the makeup bags! Fun Fact: I used to put monogram sticker on EVERYTHING in college, so it was amusingly reminiscent to apply all of these onto the coozies.
Everyone that we asked said yes to being in our party – thank goodness! I feel so lucky to know that we’ll have these twenty awesome humans by our side on this momentous occasion & as part of our combined future. How lucky are we!
