Our third full day in NYC was unfortunately Emily's last day with us before she headed back to school, but it was a super fun day! We started off the morning with a short cab ride to Norma's at Le Parker Meridian for brunch. {me attempting to vlog while Emily captures the moment} The hotel lobby where we waited for our reservation was absolutely gorgeous and it reminded me of a museum! The stone work, vaulted ceilings, massive skylight, and metalwork were all beautiful. The time passed so …

Bowtiful NYC – Day 2 Recap
On our second full day in New York City, we got up in the morning, got ready for the day, and took the subway to SoHo. Our first stop was RBBTS cafe (sadly closed) on Sullivan for brunch and after finishing off our coffee and food we shopped around the neighborhood for a bit. The area was just the right amount of busy and the streets were lined with shops, cafes, and street artists selling and creating their work. Our first shopping stop was Alex & Ani. It was a lot of fun to visit one …

Bowtiful NYC – Day 1 Recap
We started off our first full day in New York City by waking up to an amazing view from the windows of our hotel room. Shortly after getting up, Starbucks was also brought into play so we'd be fully prepped and energized for the day. For brunch, we went to Plenty Cafe and I got the most delicious bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich on a biscuit which came with a really yummy side salad. They were playing a lot of acoustic and alternative music with some of my favorite Michael Bublé and John …

Back from The Big Apple
It's official, I'm back in Chicago! My trip to New York was a fantastic and extremely packed experience for me. We were able to squeeze a crazy amount of things into approximately five days. I finally arrived back in Chicago last night after a bit of airport craziness due to a last minute switch of my flight time (SURPRISE! You're going to be taking off almost two hours earlier than planned!) I feel that words can't fully express enough how much I enjoyed this trip! New York was absolutely …
Hello New York!
via my Instagram It's official! I landed in NYC yesterday evening and I couldn't be more excited! I'm really looking forward to exploring with the friends I traveled here with and meeting up with some of my friends who live in the area. We have a pretty full itinerary between meetings and sightseeing this week and I'm really looking forward to all of it. I warn you in advance that my Instagram and Twitter may be getting slightly bombarded with NYC stuff, but honestly, I think …
Big Apple, Big Plans
I'm pleased, and very excited, to announce that I'll be visiting NYC in October! I've wanted to visit New York for as long as I can remember and I'm so happy that I get to do it with friends. We've already planed plenty of excursions and I'm really looking forward to seeing the sights, walking in Central Park, shopping on 5th Ave, and taking it all in. I don't know what first drew me to New York, but watching Gossip Girl since they started season one has certainly fueled my intent on …
Smart Girls Summit 2014
I have exciting news! As many of you may know, I am a part of The Smart Girls Group and I used to curate style spreads for The Smart Girls Guide. That being said, SGG is holding its first annual Smart Girls Summit in New York City at Fordham University Lincoln Center this summer! Registration begins this Monday, April 28th at 10:00am EST. Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend the Summit this year due to previous commitments. However, I highly encourage anyone who is interested …
