In the last few months, I've noticed that one of the most frequently asked questions I get on Tumblr tends to go something like this... "I'm visiting Chicago soon and I was wondering if you could tell me your favorite things to do in the city, what the best restaurants are, & any must-see spots I should visit?" Especially given that it's summer, people are traveling a lot and I've been getting these sorts of questions even more than usual in the last few weeks! This led me to the idea …

Visit the Shedd Aquarium for Free
This week I went the Shedd Aquarium on one of their free Illinois resident days! Funny story though... we didn't know it was a discount day until we were already halfway through the (massive) line outside... whoops! It was great getting in for free, but the line was crazy long and it was super crowded inside. However, regardless of it being so busy, it was a lot of fun and I'd definitely suggest one of these days if you're looking for a fun and free summer afternoon activity in Chicago! Things …
Chicago Caffeine Crawl
This morning, I got up early for a fun mini adventure that touched on two of my favorite things: coffee and the city of Chicago. My friend Ola and I ventured out with The LAB team and fellow tea and coffee lovers for the first ever caffeine crawl around Chicago and it was such a blast! I had so much fun live tweeting and snapping all of our stops! Check out my tweets here and follow me on Snapchat at bowtifullife to see the "My Story" coverage of the crawl! We were in Session 1 - Route 2 which …
Artsy Afternoon
Hey lovelies! After taking a week off from blogging, given everything that's been going on and school really picking up, I missed all of you and I'm happy to say that posting is back on track! Perspective
I love being a tourist in my own city and Chicago is truly one of those places where you can almost always find something new and discover places you've never been, simply by turning a corner. The city is always changing and buzzing with activity. My roommate {and wonderful photographer} Ola and I took a trip downtown to shoot for the blog and we ended up at the Chicago Cultural Center. This place is absolutely stunning... I'm talking fancy wedding reception stunning. There are two different …
Waldorf Chicago
Last weekend I got to go to The Waldorf in Chicago to celebrate my Big's early graduation with brunch at the Balsan! The building was stunning, brunch was fantastic, and the whole place was all decked out for Christmas. My wonderful greek twin, Fiona, (my Big has two littles, myself & Fiona, so we're twins), took some outfit of the day pictures for me around the hotel and with the huge tree outside! Hey Fiona :) ~ What I Wore ~ shirt ℅ ~ skirt (similar) …

Taylor Swift Red Tour ’13
This weekend I went to see Taylor Swift on her Red Tour at Soldier Field with my friend Rose. Oh. my. gosh. The show was absolutely amazing! Chicago was the last stadium performance on her world tour and it was sold out with 50,000 people in attendance. That being said, we actually ended up in the same section as four other people I knew; what a coincidence! One of the coolest moments before Taylor even started singing was when the entire stadium did the wave together. It went around the whole …
