This past weekend for me was absolutely insane... and I loved every second of it! As I've mentioned in my last few posts and on various social media, I was going through rush. I had a great experience and I ended up in the absolutely fantastic sisterhood of Chi Omega (ΧΩ). All of my active sisters and fellow pledges are super sweet and I'm so blessed to have joined such an amazing group of girls. my pledge class throw what you know ♥ owls …

Sunday Best
Yesterday was preference round for rush! We were instructed to wear our "Sunday Best" and everyone dressed accordingly. We went to see up to three chapters each and then ranked them at the end of the day according to personal preference. When we visited each chapter we got to chat more with the girls, have some sweet treats, and then they would share a little bit of their ritual with us. It was such a fun day, but I was absolutely exhausted by the end of it. ~What I Wore~dress - Lilly …
Rush Week One Recap
As many of you probably know (due to Instagram, Twitter, and such) I'm currently going through Panhellenic recruitment at my school! So far we've had three total days of rush and have three more this coming weekend. Thus far we've had kickoff and two days of scholarship round. At my school, scholarship round is like an open house where we go around campus and visit the different sororities to see who we click with best. I've absolutely loved recruitment so far and the girls in my rush group are …
First Full Week of College
I've officially made it through my first full week of college, classes, and dining hall meals! I could probably call this post "My Week in Instagrams," but regardless. Here's just a little bit of what I've been up to in the past week...via InstagramWell first of all, I'm fully moved into my new home on campus and I've been here for a little over a week! Our car was absolutely stuffed on move-in day, but we "made it work." I really love my room and my roommate is pretty awesome as well.via …
College Life: Move In Day!
The big day has arrived...it's move in day!I officially move into my residence hall this afternoon with my fabulous roommate and friend, Ola. I can't believe that today is finally here! I have been packing all week and making trips to the store for random bits and pieces that I've realized I needed. At this point I feel pretty prepared, but I'm sure that once I'm settled in I'll realize that I need to pick up a few things. I've lived in the same house for almost all of my life, so this is …
Friday Five
1. The weather here has been ridiculous. As I mentioned in my Fall in July post, the weather seems to be quite confused. The average temperature has been in the high sixties- mid seventies in the past week and it feels as though fall has come early. It's still summer.... can we please have it feel like summer? 2. via Instagram I got new glasses! Most of you were probably unaware that I have glasses, but that's because I wear my contacts all the time. It was time for my …
Giving Netflix a Chance
Of all the college tips that I've gotten recently from older friends, there is one piece of advice that is continuously given... get Netflix! In the last few years, I've honestly hardly used the TV in our family room. I'm always so busy, which makes very it hard to sit down at a specific time each week to watch a show. Instead, I've been using Hulu. Don't get me wrong, I'm so grateful for Hulu, but there is one slight problem with it. Once I get through my queue of new episodes …
Dorm Dreaming
Recently I've been browsing Pinterest and Tumblr quite a bit for dorm room inspiration. There are so many cool pictures and ideas out there! I've also been chatting a lot with my roommate for next year about our dorm design and I am so excited to move in and set up my home for next year! One of my other friends, Kristen, who I've done some dorm crafting with, has decided that the best way to describe my dorm theme is anything and everything pink Lilly. I'm obviously not going to be spending a …
Leap of Faith
I honestly can't believe that I'm entering into the last days of my high school career. My classmates and I have less than ten full days of school left! As cliche as I'm sure it sounds, this year has flown by in an blur. This blur has been full of good times, bad times, stressful times, rewarding times, smiles, laughter, and precious time spent with friends and family. Needless to say, my senior year has been filled with memories and friendships that I will treasure for the rest of my …
Friday Five
1. I've been loving Hunter Hayes's new song "I Want Crazy." 2. via Instagram This week has been so unusual! Monday there was no school, Tuesday was normal, then Wednesday was a late start as well as decade day. Seniors were assigned the 80s'! There were so many jean jackets, leggings with shorts, scrunchies, and side pony tails. On Thursday I went on a field trip downtown with my History of Chicago class and the picture above is from when we were on a Wendella …
