Happy Friday, lovelies! Last night, I went to the Auditorium Theatre with my friend, Alex, and got to experience the Joffrey Ballet performing The Nutcracker! I've gone to see The Nutcracker on multiple occasions in past years, but there was something especially special about this time around... What I Wore This season, The Joffrey Ballet is celebrating 60 years as a company and this is the final season that they'll be performing the …

Tangled – Halloween ’15
I hope everyone had an absolutely fantastic Halloween and Halloweekend! This year, I went as Rapunzel from Tangled and it was a simple, but incredibly fun costume! (It helps when a major part of your costume is already growing out of your head.) I borrowed the dress from a friend, got a Pascal stuffed animal and pinned it onto my shoulder, braided my hair, and used bobby pins with scrapbooking flowers attached to them. Then I threw on some jewelry to complete the look …
Pumpkins & Cable Knit
Happy Halloweek! My chapter recently visited Bengston's pumpkin patch on a weekend for our sisterhood retreat! It was loads of fun and we all consumed a ridiculous number of apple cider donuts. Everyone was bundled up in flannels, cozy sweaters, puffy vests, scarves and boots since it was one of the first chillier days and we were going to be spending the day outside. ~ What I Wore ~ J.Crew Sweater (similar) and Jeans - L.L. Bean 6" Boots and Puffer Vest (this vest from J.Crew Factory …

SOREL is such an iconic brand and their boots are absolute classics. I remember having a pair of their snow boots when I was a toddler that I absolutely adored and that were passed onto my younger sister years later. The craftsmanship of their boots is …
Crown Fountain
This late in August it's typically ungodly hot and humid, but it's been quite chilly in Chicago recently! Not so long ago, it was super warm and the perfect weather for visiting Millennium Park on a regular basis (which Ola and I most definitely did this summer.) Crown Fountain, known by most as the "weird faces that spit water," is one of my favorite spots in Millennium Park because of how open it is and how it's such a hub of happy. Kids are running and playing everywhere, parents sit and chat …
Harbor Skies
There are quite a few things that I love about Chicago. To name a few, I absolutely adore being right by Lake Michigan and the city skyline is a sight that never fails to make me smile. I can't imagine living anywhere that's not close to a big body of water or in a location that's not in or near a big city. These two factors are things that I've grown so accustomed to and I am incredibly blessed to have experienced them my whole life. Water and waves calm me down while the bustling city gets my …
Cloud Gate
I've said it before... In fact, I've said it a million times and I'll say it again. I love being a tourist in my own city! When Ola's cousin Asia came to visit a few weeks ago a bunch of us met up downtown for a trip to Cloud Gate (AKA The Bean) and dinner at one of our favorite restaurants, Vapiano. Naturally, Ola and I ended up doing a mini impromptu outfit of the day shoot in the garden and by The Bean. This post is the result of that! photography by Ola Wysocki What I …
