Happy Friday, lovelies!!! This week has been crazy busy and felt really, really long. In all honesty, it's been a teeny tiny bit stressful balancing everything in my schedule, especially getting enough sleep. Regardless, it's finally Friday which I am so incredibly happy about! Here are five things I've had on my radar this week and wanted to share with all of you. 1. SNOW! It snowed so much this week!!! Monday classes around Chicago were canceled almost everyone, but we still had …

Three Years Later
On January 20th, 2012 I put up my first blog post here on Bowtiful Life. Since then, what started out as a fun side project during a rough patch of my junior year in high school has turned into one of my greatest passions and accomplishments. It's crazy when I stop and think about how long I've been blogging for and how much my life has changed in these past three years. When I started this blog, I would never have been able to imagine myself where I am now. I've been incredibly lucky to meet …
2015
Happy New Year! Enter the numerous social media statuses and posts about resolutions, goals, changes, working out more often, eating healthier, and wiping slates clean. via Now don't get me wrong! Power and props to anyone who has major goals and aspirations for the new year, but I plan to forget about all of this "new year, new me" stuff... I'm happy with continuing to grow into the "me" I already am! I don't feel the need to completely change myself to feel better about myself, …
Week 1 Recap – Sophomore Year
I'm officially done with my first week of classes and I could not be happier to be back. There's something about being at school and being busy that automatically puts me in a great mood. I'm only feeling slightly stressed as I familiarize myself with a new schedule and living space, but that's to be expected. So far I really like all of my classes and teachers and I'm feeling pretty positive about this semester. It's going to be packed and require a lot of work, but I'm ready for …
ALS Awareness – Ice Bucket Challenge {video}
Yesterday my best friend, Marina, and I did the ALS Awareness Ice Bucket Challenge! We've seen so many Ice Bucket Challenge videos on Facebook and YouTube recently and we wanted to make sure that our video was not only spreading awareness, but also informing people about ALS (also commonly referred to as Lou Gehrig's Disease). This cause is near to our hearts because we personally know someone diagnosed with ALS and this is just one of the many ways we can show our utmost support for …
Chipmunk Cheeks
Guess who got two of her wisdom teeth out on Monday? For the past few days I've been resting up, watching plenty of Netflix, and surviving on various soft foods and liquids (all while bearing resemblance to a chipmunk.) via I'm very ready to be back to my normal, non-chipmunk self and I'm almost 100% once again. Visiting with friends as well as FaceTiming with some of my out-of-state friends has helped tremendously. It has been such a blessing to have so many people checking in to see …
Path of Life
It was an odd feeling not to be on social media or do any blogging for a few days, but it gave me a chance to step back and reevaluate my relationships, how I envision my future, what my priorities are, and what kind of path I want to follow in life. The most important thing about this path is that it is my path and my path alone. I am the only person who has the power to make these decisions. via This time of reflection has strengthened me. I now find myself in a …
Unplugging
Every now and then I have to step back and give myself a break. That being said, it's time for a short vacation from social media, blog included. For the next few days I'm going to be spending my time off of all my accounts. The only things that will be going up are previously queued Tumblr posts and one Instagram for my best friend's birthday. In my 2.5 year history of blogging I don't think I've ever formally let myself stop and consciously take a blog break. This is new territory for me and I …
Friday Five
Happy Friday! It's been another busy week, but what else is new? I've been planning out the rest of my summer and I can't believe that I go back to school in less than two months! June has flown by, but July is going to be a packed month for me too. I'll still be working, but I'll also be getting my wisdom teeth out, traveling for a few days, and squeezing in as much beach time as possible. Here's what's new this week... 1. I've been switching up my perfume a little recently and I discovered a …
Tell ‘Em That It’s My Birthday
Guess what today is... 19. I honestly can't believe that today is the start of my last year classified as a "teenager." Now, to contrast that, here's a #TBT from back in the day... circa age four Eighteen was an absolutely amazing year for me. I went to prom, graduated from high school, got my first real summer job (besides babysitting), met yet another blogger friend, went to a few concerts (1, 2, 3), started college, joined a sorority, got a big/became a little, helped …
