Friday Five
1. I've been loving Hunter Hayes's new song "I Want Crazy." 2. via Instagram This week has been so unusual! Monday there was no school, Tuesday was normal, then Wednesday was a late start as well as decade day. Seniors were assigned the 80s'! There were so many jean jackets, leggings with shorts, scrunchies, and side pony tails. On Thursday I went on a field trip downtown with my History of Chicago class and the picture above is from when we were on a Wendella …
Pray for Boston
I was home sick yesterday when I heard the news of the horrific explosions at the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Immediately I was saddened, discouraged, angry, and upset. I questioned why someone would try to harm so many innocent people, including those who were trying to raise money for charity. I have classmates who were there to support family as well as many who were stuck here, anxiously awaiting news from their loved ones in the Boston area. Luckily, the people I've talked …
Farewell to The Queen of Pink & Green
Yesterday morning we sadly said farewell to an absolutely amazing woman, icon, and inspiration. At the age of 81, Lilly Pulitzer Rosseau passed away in Palm Beach, Florida surrounded by family. With her expert eye for color and extremely successful business that "all started with a juice stand," she left this world far more bright and colorful than she found it. She will be greatly missed. ♥Yesterday was one of the first days that it was warm enough for me to break out my summer Lilly …
