1. I finally caved and downloaded the new Mumford and Sons album, Babel. Let me say, it is just plain fabulous! My favorite songs on the album are probably "I Will Wait," "Lover of the Light," "Reminder," & "Hopeless Wanderer." Buy on iTunes &/or Listen on Spotify 2. My graduation dress arrived last week from Lilly and I absolutely love it! I'm so excited to wear it in May, but at the same time it makes me realize just how fast this last bit of high school is flying by. 3. I …

A Little Dress Inspiration
I know that many schools that have a turnabout or spring dance some time around now. Although my school does not have one of these for upperclassmen, lots of my friends from other schools have some sort of dance coming up relatively soon. Personally, I have just started to investigate dresses for prom and I've got a few ideas already, but that's for a future post and I'm way ahead of schedule as usual. Anyway, for today I thought I would share a few of my late winter/early spring semi-formal …
Second Semester Senior
I still can't believe I'm going back to school today as a second semester senior! Ok, technically second semester starts Tuesday, but still. This year is flying by and to be quite honest, it's kind of scary not knowing exactly what's coming next. I'm someone who likes to plan things out ahead of time. Just take one look at my Lilly agenda and it becomes blatantly obvious. At the same time, I'm so excited to see what the future holds! There are so many things to come and I can't wait to …
College Apps Are Done! ✓
Happy December 1st everyone!Today I have some wonderful news....via Bowtiful Life's Instagram I am completely done applying for college!!! I don't think I have ever gone through such an important process in my life. I wanted to make sure that everything that I submitted was perfect, so I did draft after draft of not only my main essay, but of every single supplemental essay as well. Needless to say, this constant process of writing and re-writing has made me more than slightly sleep …
Make the Most of the Night – Hoco 2012
I had a fabulous time this year at homecoming dancing, taking pictures, and socializing with my friends and classmates. The group I went with included some of my closest friends so it was a really great time! We did pictures and dinner beforehand and then went to the dance which was way more fun this year because more people were actually dancing. They had jungle themed decorations and some pretty cool lighting that made it look like there were shadows of trees all along the walls of our gym. …
Lakeshore for Labor Day
Happy Labor Day! (Better late than never, right?)I was lucky to have a four day weekend last week thanks to Labor Day as well as a special football tournament our school was participating in.... in Ireland! As a result of the tournament, a huge portion of our school was in Dublin for the weekend. The Varsity football team, Varsity Poms (my girls ♥), golf, cheer, staff, parents, and lots of alumni flew over. I've heard from everyone who went that they had a wonderful time. It's clear …
July Book Review: Summer Reading
I hope everyone has had a fabulous July! It's time once again for my monthly book review, but this one has a slight twist to it. I'm going to be reviewing the books I read for my required summer reading! Every senior taking Honors World Lit at my school had to read Gabriel García Márquez's Chronicle of a Death Foretold and for my second book I chose to read Charming Billy by Alice McDermott out of the choices I was given.Out of the two books, I definitely liked Chronicle of a Death …
I Can Almost Taste Summer
Today I have my last two finals and then summer is here! I still have to take my math final and my U.S. History final, but then I go through the somewhat tedious process of selling back my books. There’s always a huge line in our gym and it take quite a while to get though it. On a much lighter note, I am so excited for my first full day of summer! I realized last night that this is my last summer as a highschooler and to be quite honest it’s kind of crazy to think about. A year from now I will …
