Yesterday morning, I packed all of my belongings into my family's car and headed off to Loyola to get settled into the dorms for a third time. At this point, I am happy to say that I'm all moved in and I'm really excited for all that this year has in store! This past week has been absolutely crazy busy. I've been saying goodbye to people who are going abroad for a semester (or two), getting ready to move into the dorms, training for my new job, and wrapping up the remaining "we should hang out …
Harbor Skies
There are quite a few things that I love about Chicago. To name a few, I absolutely adore being right by Lake Michigan and the city skyline is a sight that never fails to make me smile. I can't imagine living anywhere that's not close to a big body of water or in a location that's not in or near a big city. These two factors are things that I've grown so accustomed to and I am incredibly blessed to have experienced them my whole life. Water and waves calm me down while the bustling city gets my …
Print Appreciation – Lilly’s Lagoon
I'm totally crushing on the newest Lilly Pulitzer releases, but in particular I'm absolutely loving the Lilly's Lagoon print! I ordered my agenda in the print a few months ago and more recently, I bought the matching folio to use for carrying around my laptop. I think that this is officially one of my all time favorite prints that Lilly has ever created. The color scheme is gorgeous, the print isn't obnoxious whatsoever, and the blue tones are a nice departure from the usual pink-saturated …
Cloud Gate
I've said it before... In fact, I've said it a million times and I'll say it again. I love being a tourist in my own city! When Ola's cousin Asia came to visit a few weeks ago a bunch of us met up downtown for a trip to Cloud Gate (AKA The Bean) and dinner at one of our favorite restaurants, Vapiano. Naturally, Ola and I ended up doing a mini impromptu outfit of the day shoot in the garden and by The Bean. This post is the result of that! photography by Ola Wysocki What I …
China Doll
I'm such a big fan of the blue china print trend that has been around for the last few months. I've been seeing this sort of print popping up in lots of small boutiques as well as with bigger stores and brands. I love the contrast between the brightness of the clean white background and the vibrant pops of blue. (My mildly perfectionist self also really appreciates the symmetrical aspect of this style of print.) That being said, I am absolutely in love with this dress from Light in the Box! It …

“Love as You Live” Bowtiful Wallpaper – July ’15
It's almost August and that means that it's time for a new wallpaper! I think this is possibly my favorite to date and I've already set it as my desktop. I really enjoy the crisp, predominately white theme as well as the quote featured: "laugh as much as you breathe, love as much as you live" How to set up your new background: 1. right click on the image. / 2. select "open in new tab" (or window) / 3. right click the image again. / 4. save the image to your computer and then set it as your …

What You Are Not
Taylor Swift was in Chicago this past week for her 1989 tour and everyone I know who went said that it was absolutely amazing! I recently came across this video from when she was on tour in Manchester right before her song "Clean." She gives a short little speech to help introduce the song and I loved it so much that I had to share it with you while highlighting a few of my favorite quotes. "I'm gonna tell you now the things you actually are not, okay? These are the things you really are …
